Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Cacao Bridge International (CBI) attaches great importance to protecting the personal information of its website visitors, clients, suppliers and business partners.
Information collected
CBI may collect information that users provide voluntarily, including their name, business email address, phone number, organization, country and details of their business request.
When audience measurement tools or similar technologies are used, some technical data may also be collected, in accordance with applicable rules and only with your consent.
Purposes
Information is used to answer inquiries, review partnership proposals, prepare commercial offers, manage newsletter subscriptions, follow up on business relationships and keep the website secure.
Disclosure to third parties
Personal information is only shared with people or service providers who need it for the stated purposes, when such disclosure is authorized and governed. CBI does not sell users’ personal information.
Protection of information
CBI applies appropriate administrative and technical safeguards, including access restrictions, account protection (two-factor authentication for site administration), data backups and careful selection of its service providers.
Retention
Information is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to legal and contractual obligations and legitimate retention needs.
General requests received through the form are kept for 12 months after they are closed. Partnership requests may be followed up for up to 24 months after the last exchange, when still relevant.
Newsletter subscribers’ details are used until they unsubscribe or withdraw consent. After unsubscribing, data is removed from active lists; minimal information may be kept to honor the unsubscription and prevent unwanted re-subscription.
When the applicable periods expire, information is securely deleted or anonymized, unless a legal obligation or documented legitimate reason requires otherwise.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw your consent when processing is based on it. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or, if you live in the European Union, with your country’s data protection authority.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Under Quebec law, the person with the highest authority in the company holds this role: Koffi Kan Romain Kouadio, President and CEO of Cacao Bridge International Inc., 965 Sainte-Anne Avenue, Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. To exercise your rights or ask a question, use the contact form (subject “Other request”) or the details below.
Transfers outside Quebec and Canada
In the course of its activities, CBI uses digital service providers established in various countries. Some personal information may therefore be hosted, accessed or processed outside Quebec and Canada (notably in the United States and the European Union).
Before such a transfer, CBI assesses the applicable legal requirements, contractual safeguards, security measures and risks, and limits transfers to what its activities require.
Confidentiality incidents
CBI keeps a register of confidentiality incidents and notifies the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned when an incident presents a risk of serious injury.
Cookies
The site uses no audience measurement cookies without your explicit consent. Details are in our cookie policy, and you can change your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
Updates
This policy may be amended to reflect changes in CBI’s activities, digital tools and applicable legal requirements. The date of the latest update is shown on this page.
